If you want to change your matchmaking location, your only option is to use a vpn (massive latency downgrade) or change your ping settings. Im not sure if awesome had anything to do with the original issue though. Though I had switched from awesome in Core to awesome34 in the AUR before this due to issues with Steams window blinking. I played TF2 without much issue for a couple hours. it is used by both hlds (not a removed command btw) and srcds to set the region of the server so it could be found easily with the community server browser. X.org 1.12 and catalyst 13.1 Im using catalyst-total from the AUR really made an improvement. this is a "sv_" cvar, which means it is only a server configuration. (Though the in-game server browser might still have this option.)Ģ55- World (default) is completely incorrect. This cvar might be deprecated, it has been removed from the HLDS (but still exists in SRCDS) and the Steam server browser doesn't have an option to select a region any more.
